Holosun 407k vs 507k.
Started with a 507k x2 a few months ago to start carry optics. Managed to kill it in less than 500 rounds and a few matches. It seemed that the "+" button stopped working, I couldn't make the dot brighter and I couldn't lock the sight out. Sent it back, and Holosun's position was yes it's broken, but the warranty department will get back to you.

For a given (perceived) brightness match, the RMR cc dot is a little sharper to my eyes (and I have slight astigmatism in my dominant eye) (2MOA for Holosun vs 3.5MOA on RMR cc).
The 507K dual mode would be beneficial in a conceal carry /self defense shooting to aid in getting on target faster, but I actually prefer the single 3 moa dot over the 32 moa ring and dot. 407k vs 507k? It seems like the only difference is the reticles and price? 407k only has one reticle - a 6 MOA dot and the 507 K has a 3 reticles - 2 MOA dot, 32 MOA circle, and 32 MOA circle with 2 MOA dot inside. 407K is a lot cheaper. I've never used a red dot on a pistol and have never used any of these red dots before.Green reticle is supposed to be easier to see in sun (red spectrum) light AND better for astigmatism. 507k over the 407k.. Yes larger dot would be better IF that's all you had to use.. Yet with the 507k you can set it up for defense and or target. The 507 has FOUR options integrated into the reticle.

The circle is only in the 507k though. 407k only has 6 moa dot where as the 507k has 2 moa dot 32 moa circle and then combined circle and dot.
